On February 6, 2025, a meeting was held between the management of JSC "National Electric Grid of Uzbekistan" and a delegation from the World Bank. The discussions focused on the stages of establishing an energy market among Central Asian countries and the implementation of the investment project «Integration and Development of Regional Energy Markets in Central Asia».

During the meeting, participants explored the positive impact of creating this energy market on electricity exchange among regional countries and its benefits for the energy sectors of each state. The World Bank delegation positively assessed the results achieved by JSC "National Electric Grid of Uzbekistan" within the framework of the project.

In addition, proposals for the construction of high-voltage power networks in cooperation with relevant organizations of neighboring countries were given special attention. Specifically, discussions were held on the creation of interconnecting power networks and the efficient use of existing ones.
