II. JOB DESCRIPTION

   Summary: The Deputy Chairman of the Board for Transformation, Digitalization and Information technologies (DСTD) serves as a member of the Senior Executive Team of NEG Uz providing strategic and executional guidance to various spheres of the company. The DCTD is ultimately responsible for guiding the digital transformation of the enterprise and investment portfolio along with the members of their team.

   The digital team should act as an internal digital solution agency identifying and pursuing meaningful value creation through digital transformation. The DCTD will lead the process of Design-Transform-Operate in pursuing value creation opportunities. The DCTD must possess the ability to understand business models and issues across both manufacturing and service industries. Additionally, the DCTD must possess a deep passion for improving the experience of all company as well as an appreciation for the cultural challenges associated with the digital transformation of a business. Finally, the successful DCTD will get things done and demonstrate a powerful impact on the organization and team.

III. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

   Essential duties and responsibilities include the following (Other duties may be assigned):

   •  develop a clearly defined and compelling digital strategy for the company’s future and ensure that all relevant digital initiatives are fully integrated into the strategic-planning process for leadership commitment, resource allocation and execution;

   •  act as the company’s central leader and integrator in the digital transformation process, serving as an intermediary between all other executives and functions in the rollout of digital initiatives and capabilities, fully integrating business and technology, and close digital performance gaps that exist in and between the various functions and business units of the organization;

   •  constantly survey the organization for the opportunity to deploy digital leverage for business performance improvement;

   •  work with teams across the business to identify innovative digital solutions for products, services, processes, customer experiences, marketing channels and business models;

   •  build, manage and continue to grow an internal and external digital innovation ecosystem, tapping into competencies across and beyond the organization to apply digital technologies to the business;

   •  manage the business transformation use case ROI process to ensure that the project cost-benefit parameters justify execution of a project;

   •  use software to better manage data for business direction, performance and insight;

   •  maintain knowledge of a wide range of external partners to provide solutions as appropriate;

   •  assess and communicate risks associated with digital investments;

   •  build technology capability maps and associated gaps and digital transition plans for the company.

   Duties in Transformation:

   •  work with relevant executive partners/peers in developing & executing plans to capture digital advances and benefits;

   •  build a strong delivery team to execute the digital strategy;

   •  deliver digital transformation initiatives which include preparing the operating businesses to drive execution on an ongoing basis post solution deployment;

   •  oversee a team of Digital Product Managers who act as a liaison between operating company executives and digital delivery resources whether internal or outsourced;

   •  manage deployment initiatives in partnership between the operating companies and members of the team.

   Operational Duties:

   •  monitor and report on the ROI outcomes of digital projects and investments – linked to enterprise KPIs with the goal of demonstrating the positive impact from value creation initiatives;

   •  develop and manage a strong digital infrastructure team that is committed to exceptional customer service, high availability of information services and systems and rapid response to critical business needs;

   •  manage company`s transition to the Cloud Operating Environment;

   •  maintain awareness of relevant technology trends and emerging risks to anticipate needed upgrades in system performance and security posture;

   •  direct development and execution of the enterprise-wide disaster recovery and business continuity plan;

   •  ensure high level of data security and infrastructure protection;

   •  act as Privacy Officer for the business;

   •  approve, prioritize and control projects and the project portfolio as they relate to the selection, acquisition, development, and installation of major information systems;

   •  plan and execute enhancements to mission-critical platforms to include customer-facing platforms, enterprise resource planning, customer relationship managements, and server/network infrastructure;

   •  review hardware and software acquisition and maintenance contracts and pursue master agreements to capitalize on economies of scale from the enterprise;

   •  define and communicate corporate plans, policies, and standards for the organization for acquiring, implementing, and operating digital infrastructure systems.

III. QUALIFICATIONS:

   •  a minimum of 12 years work experience with at least 8 years of experience in digital strategy development and execution.

   •  master`s degree in business management, computer science, technology or engineering strongly preferred;

   •  demonstrated ability to solve problems with software-based solutions required;

   •  expert in change management, with demonstrated experience in leading digital transformation;

   •  considerable knowledge of business theory, business processes, management, budgeting, and business office operations;

   •  professional exposure to software and application development;

   •  reasonable exposure and knowledge of security requirements;

   •  knowledge of the electric power system, including electricity dispatching and transmission;

   •  previous responsibility for a major segment of an organization (business unit/corporate group or geography);

   •  strong communication skills are a must.

IV. SELECTION PROCEDURE:
