The Government of Uzbekistan has been undertaking major reforms in the power sector. Sector oversight functions have been consolidated under the Ministry of Energy (MoE) that was established in February 2019. A subsequent decision was made in March 2019 to unbundle Uzbekenergo into separate Generation (“Thermal Power Plants” JSC), Transmission (“NEG Uz” JSC), and Distribution (“Regional Distribution Network” JSC) companies.

Financial Management Specialist (FMS) will enter the Project Management Unit (PMU) and will responsible for ensuring the readiness of financial, accounting and internal control arrangements for project starts, activities and milestones. A PMU Financial Specialist will be also responsible for implementing system of financial management for stocktaking and controlling usage of borrowed funds, grants issued by IFIs and etc.
